Is it really me…blogging?

Is it really me…blogging?

Yes it is. It’s been a while, but I feel like writing something – exactly what, well that’s another story. For now, I’ll talk about exercise or lack thereof. Let’s call this a lesson in how we as humans can go off on tangents and rationalize ourselves out of progress. I started the StrongLifts 5×5 program in November. … Read entire article »

Movie Monday: To Catch a Thief

Movie Monday: To Catch a Thief

After a long sabbatical, I decided to blog something. Fancy that! I finished watching To Catch a Thief with my family last night. The kids have never seen it, and it was the girls’ first Hitchcock movie. I kept lobbying for it, and finally I insisted. I’m glad I did.   … Read entire article »

Summer Camp Memories – Rowing

Summer Camp Memories – Rowing

Web Wednesday: NCAA Academic Progress Rates

Sorry I haven’t blogged much lately, but work and baseball kind of make for a busy life. This week’s WW is something I stumbled upon after reading an article about UWM’s new AD. They referred to the Academic Progress Rates by the NCAA. I’ve been looking for some sort of easy-to-understand data that gives me concrete proof about a school’s emphasis on academics.  … Read entire article »

Featured Post: How to turn homework in on time (hopefully)

I know we are not the first parents to struggle with this, nor are we the last. God blessed us with a great son. I could spend a long time listing his great traits here, but I want you to make it to the end of this post. Let’s just say my wife and I are both pleased with how he’s turning out. One challenge we have is homework.  … Read entire article »
